Summer seems to be the most popular time for two people to come together and celebrate their love for each other. While summer weddings can be truly romantic and beautiful, there’s always a risk of hot and humid weather, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t exactly contribute to that passionate ‘I’ll love you forever’ vibe one hopes to experience on their big day. You have far more important things to worry about than your make-up smudging or wearing off before the end of the night – and being one half of the centre of attention for an evening can daunting when you’re concerned about looking your best!
Enter: Summer Wedding Makeup Must-Haves! A list of beauty products that promise to be there to polish your look from start until finish on your big day!
Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily Skin
When Revlon says it’ll do something, it follows through, which is why I didn’t hesitate to pick up this product promising long-lasting coverage from morning until night. While this foundation is a bit expensive for a drugstore foundation, it’s so worth the price. I find that the Combination/Oily formula is more durable than the original and am super happy with the coverage, which can be minimal or built up depending on your preference!

Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick
Stila’s All Day Liquid Lipstick is a must-have on your big day. It will survive kissing, drinking, laughing, and having cake shoved in your face. Dolce is my favourite shade from this line because it’s more of a nude and though subtle, is guaranteed to compliment any make-up or accessory look on your big day.
Maybelline’s Waterproof Falsies Mascara
This beauty is my go-too for waterproof mascara. I have tiny lashes, and no other mascara makes them pop like this one! Though I wouldn’t recommend wearing a waterproof mascara on a day-to-day basis, as they can be hard on your lashes, I definitely recommend it for special occasions where great amounts of crying may ensue.
Urban Decay’s Naked Palette
I don’t know anyone who has tried this palette and not become obsessed. I love that the pigments in this palette are rich and can be built up or left to look sheer. I also love the fact that my mascara and liquid liner never smudge against this shadow, and the shadow itself doesn’t budge until I take it off later in the night. This is the perfect neutral palette to compliment any summer wedding make-up look.
Model in a Bottle Setting Spray
The final thing to top off of a make-up look – setting spray! Setting spray is something I discovered fairly recently – though I find I have to be particularly picky about which brands I purchase, as some clog my pores (despite claiming not to). I have had the most success with Model in a Bottle. Not only does it create the perfect barrier between my look and the elements, it comes off fairly easily and isn’t heavy on my skin. If you want something to lock down your summer wedding beauty look – this is the product to make it happen!
