OOTD: Spring Haul Edition

Your girl has been working towards some much needed retail therapy, and today I finally had the opportunity to check out the new expansion at Conestoga Mall here in Waterloo. Today was the grand opening of H&M‘s newly revealed expansion and the store looked flawless and was filled with the perfect combination of pastels and bold floral prints for spring.

My wardrobe has been overrun by greys and navy’s for the winter season, and since we’re finally in spring, I decided I’d try and step outside of my comfort zone and try some bold patterns that I might not otherwise be drawn to.

Outfit One

This outfit consists of a basic graphic tee and a denim skirt. I haven’t rocked a denim skirt since college, so I’m really excited to see that trend coming back. I love this tee because I can tuck it into the skirt or tie it up to the side, and it would also look great with a pair of black or distressed boyfriend jeans or high-waisted skinnies!

Outfit Two

I never thought I’d be one to rock a pair of wide-legged pants, let alone cropped ones! At 5’11” it’s hard to find a pair of cropped pants that look intentionally cropped, and not just like floods. I was surprised at how much I really liked these pants. They were light-weight, airy, and flattering, and paired with a white tee or cream sweater made them the perfect spring option for the office or Sunday brunch with the girls.

Option Three

This ended up being my favourite outfit out of the bunch. As I previously mentioned, bold patterns are something I’ve steered away from, particularly when it comes to my bottom half. When I saw these pants, however, I thought I’d at least give them a go – who knew I’d actually end up loving them and adding them to my shopping bag!

H&M at Conestoga mall is officially the largest in Waterloo Region and they’ve got a great selection of spring items in stock currently if you’re also feeling adventurous!

Which of the above looks is your favourite? Let me know by leaving a comment below!

Happy shopping!
