My Favourite Drugstore Beauty Products

When it comes to achieving gorgeous beauty looks, you don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars. Some of my favourite products, in fact, can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart or other pharmacies. Sure, indulging in some high-end products is fun every now and then, but when it comes down to it, make-up just isn’t a necessity (shocking, I know!). Here are some of my favourite drugstore beauty products that’ll save you money without sacrificing your overall look.

NYX Liquid Suede

When it comes to my favourite matte drugstore lipstick, NYX will always be my go-to. My Shoppers recently stocked NYX which has made my life a whole lot easier (and my wallet a whole lot sadder). I love the lasting power of NYX’s Liquid Suede lippies and the full coverage and pigmentation. These beauties are a must-have.

L’Oreal Infallible Setting Spray

Setting spray is always a must for me – especially in the summer months when humidity becomes the biggest factor to consider as I apply my #MOTD. I love L’Oreal’s Infallible Setting Spray. You get more and pay less than what you would for Urban Decay, but it works just as well!

Rimmel Provocalips

I first received a Provocalips product from my friends at Pout. This is my go-to lipstick when I’m looking for something high-shine that lasts. This two-step lip lacquer takes me from morning to night without needing to reapply. I’m obsessed. You can read my initial review here.

Garnier BB Cream

I received this product to test from Garnier. It was my first time trying a BB cream, and I really liked the results! While I tend to lean more towards products that are full coverage, Garnier’s BB Cream is a nice way to let my skin breathe while evening out my skin tone on a relaxing day or when I’m popping out to run errands. It’s lightweight, non greasy, and has a really nice smell.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

When it comes down to primers, I personally prefer a more gel-based primer as opposed to a cream. I find that my make-up glides on much smoother and that gel does a better job at hiding my pores, which are quite large on my cheeks. Maybelline’s Baby Skin Pore Eraser is less than $10, and is comparable to Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer – you can’t go wrong!

NYX Matte Lip Cream

Of course I couldn’t mention NYX without bringing up their incredible Matte Lip Creams! I actually prefer these to their Liquid Suedes as I find the lasting power to be longer and the creamy finish to be less drying on my lips. I also love the selection of shades available!

Annabelle Stay Sharp Lip Liner

I was provided with a few different Annabelle Stay Sharp Lip Liners to try and review and they are by far my favourite when it comes to lip liners! Not only does the sharp tip aid in precision for outlining my lips, it’s also waterproof and lasts all day! Tip: To make your lipstick go the distance, cover your full lip in Annabelle’s Stay Sharp Lip Liner in matching shade before applying lipstick, or apply to problem areas (centre of the mouth) in addition to your colour line.
