Review: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

While I was out shopping for my first ever giveaway last night *HINT*HINT* I decided to try out the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish – I was so obsessed with the colour I decided on for the giveaway (Dig Fig), that I decided to pick one up for myself, too! I also picked up Wine Stock, which is another deep red-purple colour and perfect for this season, as well as the ‘Activator’ top coat.

Sally Hansen Dig Fig 05

I rushed home, eager to test out the product. I’ve been doing my own gel nails using the Nailene Sensationail Gel Starter Kit (review here) and while I love that kit, I don’t always have time to go through the multi-step process to achieve great, durable nails.

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish comes in a variety of colours and is cheaper than gel polish required for an LED light (like you would need for the Nailene kit, for example).

I applied two coats of the nail polish without giving it any drying time and then applied the ‘Activator’ top coat (ie, the ‘Step Two’ in this two-step process). I waited about 30 seconds before testing my nails. To say I was pleasantly shocked would be an understatement. My nails were dry, rock hard, and (so far) totally durable – they totally stand their own against the traditional gel nails I’ve been working with for the last 7 months! I’m so, SO in love with this product and I can’t wait for you to be in love with it too! Because one lucky winner will be receiving the Dig Fig polish and Activator top coat as part of my giveaway, which will be launching tomorrow! Stay tuned, friends!
