I recently heard about A Touch of Aphrodite through my friend Nicole Rae. I’ve recently become ridiculously intrigued by bath products and after reading Nicole’s review, I decided to make some purchases of my own. I ended up with The Dirty Chai Coffee Scrub, Chai Tea Donut Bathbomb, and the Monday Morning Formulated Soap Bar. To say I’m officially obsessed with A Touch of Aphrodite’s products would be an understatement. I’m thrilled to have found these local products that a) make me feel amazing and b) are made with so much care and love.
The Dirty Chai Coffee Scrub
Firstly, every coffee scrub review requires an unflattering selfie:
Secondly, this product is 7oz of 100% natural ingredients, including fresh, fair trade coffee to exfoliate, improve circulation, and target cellulite and uneven skin tones, Ginkgo biloba powder for antioxidants and anti-aging capabilities, and anti-inflammatory properties for rosacea, varicose veins and acne, sunflower and coconut oil to soothe and moisturize dry skin, and high vitamin E content to fade scars and stretch marks. Miracle product? I think so! So far, I’ve only applied this product twice. While this isn’t enough to see tremendous amounts of impact, I have already noticed how soft and hydrated my skin feels immediately after using it! 7oz of this product is sure to give you quite the supply, and at $10.00, how can you go wrong?
Chai Tea Donut Bathbomb
I had never used a bathbomb before this. Frankly, I was looking for an excuse to have a bath after strictly having showers for the last couple of years, and this was the perfect way to justify a night of relaxation. Not only does the bathbomb fizz as soon as you drop it in the tub (generating an array of excited squeals if we’re referring specifically to my experience), but it releases the most heavenly scents! The vitamin E in this product left my skin feeling so smooth and moisturized and at $4.00 per bathbomb, it’s definitely worth picking up a few!
Monday Morning Formulated Soap Bar
This soap bar is made up of goat’s milk, peppermint, tea tree oil, and French green clay concoction with ground pumice for exfoliant. This product does not disappoint! Not only does it smell heavenly and awaken the senses as any ‘Monday morning’ labelled product should, it leaves your skin feeling hydrated, silky soft, and refreshed! It’s the perfect way to start or finish your day! This gem runs for $5 for a 4oz bar (and after a couple of weeks, I haven’t run out yet!) Totally worth the purchase.
I’m currently in the process of placing my next order of bathbombs and another soap bar, so stay tuned for another review on this local brand in the near future!
