Autumn has officially arrived and with that obviously comes a whole new palette of hair colours. I can never stick with one hair colour for too long, so it was time to say ‘buh-bye’ to blonde, and ‘hello’ to a colour that breathed fall. After scouring Pinterest I came up with my top five contenders for my soon-to-be fall hair colour, with my ultimate choice being #1.
What about this colour doesn’t say ‘fall’?? It’s rich and fun and can be flattering on both a fair and medium skin tone!
Okay, so being heavily inspired by Donna from Suits, Auburn was a serious contender in my search for a fall hair colour. It practically is made for Autumn! AUburn, AUtumn – see that relationship there?
#3. Black Cherry
Basically anything with a warm undertone is okay for fall in my books. I love how rich this colour looks and how the tint of red makes it so much different from a dull black.
Because this has been my go-to for every other year and it makes green and blue eyes pop like it’s nobody’s business.
Before we get into it, it’s totally okay for me to use a mirror selfie after using these gorgeous professional pictures above, because, how else am I supposed to show off the hair I chose? I had my hair done by the lovely @SarahCollette (who also does wedding hair and makeup, FYI) and she was able to give me exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that was subtle, but noticeable, and (faux) sun-kissed. This balayage ombre was the perfect decision because I got to feature the mahogany, as well as some lighter, warm colours in the ombre fade-out. It adds so much more dimension to my hair, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice (and Sarah’s work, of course!).
What colours are you contemplating for fall? I’d love to hear them!
