While on one of several trips to Shoppers Drug Mart this weekend, I came across Garnier’s De-Constructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray. I hadn’t used a beach spray since high school and lately I’ve been kind of desperate to find the perfect product to give my hair some effortless texture. I was not disappointed! I picked up this product for around $8 – while it boasts leaving your hair without a heavy, crunchy feeling associated with most hair products, I did find my hair to feel relatively dry. Because my hair has been colour treated quite frequently over the last few years, I’m assuming this spray just did not get along with it in that regard; however, this does not change my opinion on the product itself because it certainly did what it was supposed to.
This is the product:

After taking this photo, I generously sprayed the Beach Chic spray throughout my hair, and scrunched it. Then I went and did the rest of my morning routine (about 7 minutes long) before coming back to take this After photo:
As you can see, the hair is a lot less..er..POOF..and still has some super effortless texture. I would go on to add some hair spray to volumize my roots and brush through my hair with my fingers a bit more, but this is the exact result of the product before doing any of that. I am pleased! I will have to toy around with it a bit more to make it feel less crunchy in my hair, but as I stated before, that may be a result of my already dry and colour-treated hair.
Have you tried this product before? What are some of your favourite beach sprays? Let me know!
